(VIDEO) De Blasio Cancels NYC’s 9/11 Tribute In Light, BLM Arts & Crafts Still OK
The 9/11 Twin Beams of Light In New York City to honor victims of that tragic day has been cancelled due to the coronavirus.
The 9/11 Memorial and Museum has announced on their website that the Tribute in Light has been cancelled this year because of the large crew it would take to get the lights up and running.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==Subscribe on YouTube
The Museum has said that the risk for exposure to the coronavirus is too dangerous.
However multiple buildings across the city will light up in blue to honor all the victims.
“In a spirit of unity and remembrance, the city will come together for a ‘Tribute in Lights’ to inspire the world and honor the promise to never forget,”
– museum statement
The museum has also cancelled the reading of the victims’ names at Ground Zero.
While De Blasio says the risk of contracting the coronavirus to honor victims is too high, massive crowds of rioters and protesters across the city and BLM art project Murals in front of Trump Tower are perfectly fine by him.
