Charleston, WV – Charleston Police Officer Cassie Johnson was shot Tuesday afternoon after responding to a parking complaint.

Officer Johnson, 27 years old, responded to Garrison Ave and at some point during the parking complaint, she was shot in the face. Officer Johnson was reportedly taken to Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office advised that the suspect from the incident was taken into custody after also being shot, presumably by Officer Johnson. As [...]
