Customs and Border Protection released data on Monday showing that illegal border crossings have risen dramatically in the last two months. According to their statistics, the number of illegal crossings in October and November were 65% higher than the same time in 2019.
In a briefing Monday, CBP Acting Commissioner Mark Morgan said the numbers also show a 31% increase over 2019 from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, also known as the Northern Triangle.
