Antifa had planned protests in both cities. Much like the protests of the past eight months, they each turned violent.

Seattle, WA – A new autonomous zone has been set up in Seattle, this time in an abandoned house on 1106 E Denny Way.
Over the past months, a homeless encampment has taken over Cal Anderson park on Capitol Hill, the former home of Seattle’s first autonomous zone, known as CHAZ (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone). Residents and businesses have complained about the smell of human waste, as well as the presence of tents, needles, and garbage piling up.

Spokane, WA – In August, Spokane Mayor Nadine Woodward told police officers that were being let go due to defunding that they were welcome to come to the Spokane Police Department.
On a Facebook post in August, she said, “Other cities have taken a much swifter, more aggressive approach that has abruptly displaced officers and downsized departments. To officers who have lost jobs, Spokane has a message for you: we’re hiring.”
