Sacramento, CA – Monday evening, a six-year veteran of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office as well as his K9 were killed in a shootout following a pursuit.
An officer attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle, but the suspect led police on a chase. The suspect crashed at the Cal Expo grounds, and the suspect refused to follow orders such as exiting the vehicle. Police shot out his rear window with less lethal rounds and deployed a K9.
At that point, the suspect immediately started shooting.

Sacramento, CA – A Sacramento police officer shot and killed a suspect who was pointing a gun at a group of people gathered to watch a boxing match on Saturday night.
Shortly before 8 pm Sacramento police responded to a call of reckless driving in an industrial area on the north side of the city. When officers arrived in the area they discovered multiple people gathered at a warehouse to watch a boxing match.
While in the process of investigating the incident multiple people came running out of the warehouse as officers could hear sounds of gunshots being fired.
