Gastonia, NC – Six people were shot including two officers when gunfire erupted outside of Remedies nightclub late Thursday night.

Shortly after 11 pm two Gastonia Police Officers who were working off duty attempted to break up a fight outside of the nightclub when shots were fired.

Sergeant E. Nelson and Officer M. Lewis were identified as the two officers working at the club and both were shot. Fortunately they sustained non life threatening injuries.

Four other individuals were shot as well and sustained non life threatening injuries.

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the incident. Union Rd was closed down near [...]
