Special Prosecutor Files Charges on Retired Officer, Looter not charged, PPA says Grand Jury Didn’t Hear from Eyewitness

In a press release put out by the Portland Police Association today, the association stated that recently retired highly decorated officer Scott Groshong, a 27 year veteran of the department has been charged in relation to an incident during riots in downtown Portland where it is alleged that officer Groshong ran down a rioter that was earlier observed looting a store. A special prosecutor from Marion County presented the case to a grand jury that the Portland Police Association alleges was not presented with all the relevant facts.

Portland Police Association Building Attacked Again Overnight

Rioters have again targeted the Portland Police Association building, setting fire to a pro police billboard attached to the building and covering the building with graffiti in another night of rioting in the Portland area.
