Four Officers Shot at While Assisting Motorists in Dallas

Dallas, Texas – A shooting that occurred on Halloween night occurred as four officers were out with motorists involved in a traffic accident that occurred at the corner of John West Road and La Prada Drive in Dallas at approximately 6:58 p.m.

Dallas Police Officers Association President Mike Mata said in a statement that the four officers, two from Dallas Police and two from the Mesquite Police Department were all in uniform at the time and that it appears that the shooting was not random and was a targeted attack on officers in the performance of their duty and was completely unprovoked.
