SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Authorities say a San Bernardino man who was threatening family members with a large kitchen knife was fatally shot when he failed to comply with responding officers and charged at them while still armed with the knife Friday evening, Nov. 27.

City of San Bernardino police officers was dispatched to a private residence on the 2300 block of W. Adams Street around 11:39 p.m. after terrified family members called 911 to report a family member was armed with a large kitchen knife and was threatening to stab other family members at the home, San Bernardino Police Sgt. Donna, TX Officer Shot on Way to Work.

A police officer from Donna, Texas is lucky to be alive today after being shot while riding a motorcycle on the way to work.

The unidentified officer was shot early Friday morning by an unknown assailant from another vehicle. The officer, who was in uniform, was riding a motorcycle from his McAllen home to the police department in Donna when the shooting occurred on South McColl Road said Lt. Joel Morales from the McAllen police who responded to the call for service at 5:18 a.m. Friday morning.
