A man was shot and killed by a Batesville, Indiana officer following a standoff that started at 8 a.m. Monday morning in Batesville.
The initial call for service was related to an ongoing domestic disturbance at a residence on Bridlewood Trace according to a release from the Indiana State Police.
A mother and three small children who were inside the house when the situation began were able to escape the house safely before the man barricaded himself inside the residence.
