Suspect Who Shot Mississippi Officer in Face Captured
Jackson, MS – LENN told you over the weekend about an off-duty officer, Investigator Eddie Colbert, getting shot at the 4th Avenue Lounge in Jackson. The suspect from the incident, identified as Jaquon Allen, has been arrested and is facing two charges of aggravated assault, according to the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives New Orleans/Jackson Field Office.

The second victim of the shooting was Eric Williams, who we now know is a security guard at the lounge. Investigator Colbert and Williams both remain in the hospital in critical condition.

Vicksburg, MS – Early Saturday morning, an off-duty officer in the Criminal Investigation Division with the Vicksburg Police Department, identified as Investigator Eddie Colbert, was shot once in the face.
Reportedly, officers responded to a call of a shooting around 1am to the 4th Avenue Lounge near Pearl St and Lamar St in Jackson. Another person was also shot multiple times. This person was identified as Eric Williams, who is also said to be in critical condition.

The suspect was identified as Jaquon Allen and is still at large.
Investigator Colbert is said to be in critical condition at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
