BREAKING: Two NYPD Officers Ambushed, Shot on Domestic Call

Queens, NY – Two officers were shot when responding to a domestic violence call in the Springfield Gardens area of Queens near 145th Drive and 179th street when responding at 12:45 p.m. today.

Sources on scene state that one officer was hit in the arm and the other hit in the leg by gunfire and is suffering heavy blood loss. The suspect was also shot in an exchange of gunfire during the incident, but his status is unknown at this time.

Both officers were rushed to Jamaica Hospital where they remain being treated for their injuries.

It happened near 145th Drive and 179th Street in Springfield Gardens just before 1 p.m. Both officers were rushed to Jamaica Hospital. One officer was struck with in the arm. Another was hit in the leg and suffered heavy blood loss.

A suspect was also shot. The suspect’s condition was also not immediately known.
