SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Authorities say a San Bernardino man who was threatening family members with a large kitchen knife was fatally shot when he failed to comply with responding officers and charged at them while still armed with the knife Friday evening, Nov. 27.

Adams Street around 11:39 p.m. after terrified family members called 911 to report a family member was armed with a large kitchen knife and was threatening to stab other family members at the home, San Bernardino Police Sgt. SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. — In response to the latest COVID-19 public health crisis related mandates announced by California Governor Gavin Newsom last week, both Shasta County Sheriff Eric Magrini and City of Redding Police Chief Bill Schueller have announced that their departments – the two largest law enforcement agencies based within Shasta County – will not be enforcing any of the health or emergency orders related to curfews, stay at home orders, or occupancy limitations.

MORENO VALLEY, Calif. — Authorities say that a man who led deputies on a pursuit in Moreno Valley was shot when he accelerated in reverse and struck a deputy Friday evening, Nov. 20. Both the injured deputy and driver who was shot were hospitalized after the incident and their current conditions were not known as of this report.
A passenger in the vehicle that struck the deputy was uninjured in the shooting, which happened in front of a closed entrance of an apartment complex in the area of Heacock Street and Cottonwood Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
